Sean Harden, a Chicago South Side native, grew up with a strong work ethic, a passion for learning, and a commitment to giving back. As a leader in real estate development and community revitalization, Sean blends his expertise in complex negotiations with his deep knowledge of economic and social impact. He founded Hard Wright Development in 2022 to focus on commercial and residential development that promotes community reconstruction and growth. Since 2013, Sean has led Harden Wright Consultant Group, helping nonprofits, businesses, and government agencies with grant management, business development, and community engagement. Previously, he directed West Woodlawn's first block-wide development in 30 years, overseeing a multimillion-dollar investment in single-family homes, which exceeded ROI projections. Sean's career highlights include senior roles with Chicago Public Schools, the Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development, and the Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC), where he facilitated neighborhood revitalization projects across Chicago. As CEO of Goodcity, he revamped its model, opening new revenue streams for its incubator programs. Currently Chair of the Board for Friend Health Center, Sean is deeply involved in community leadership. He studied Business Administration and Marketing at Morehouse College and holds certifications in Project Management and Financial Analysis from DePaul University.

As the former owner and operator of It’s Chicken, LLC, Sean was responsible for the overall operation of Harold’s Chicken Shack and Docks Fish franchises. Sean was responsible for overseeing every aspect of the business from daily operations and staff management to financial oversight and customer satisfaction. During his tenure, Sean built a reputation for delivering exceptional dining experiences, maintaining high standards of food quality, and fostering a warm, welcoming atmosphere for both guests and staff. Sean worked closely with his team to ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations. His hands-on approach and commitment to excellence helped the restaurant become a popular destination, known for its quality food and outstanding service. With a strong background in leadership, Sean effectively managed all operational facets of the restaurant, including inventory control, budgeting, marketing, and menu development. Under his ownership, the restaurant experienced consistent growth, earning a loyal customer base and establishing itself as a beloved community fixture. Although Sean has since transitioned from restaurant ownership, his passion for the food and hospitality industry remains strong. He looks forward to applying his entrepreneurial skills and industry knowledge to new ventures, always striving for excellence and innovation.
